- 78 A Glass Darkly.sit 1 B AMUG BBS in a Box 08-22-1992
- DESC: A Glass Darkly - An After Dark module that inverts the screen colors
- KEY: A Glass Darkly.sit KBytes: 6144
- DESC: in patterns that tell the time or just look cool, crazy, or
- DESC: relaxing. Dialogue boxes provide infinite user modification.

- 74 AD Kablooie 1.0.sit 1 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-27-1992
- DESC: AD Kablooie 1.0 - Nice fireworks module for AfterDark. Mimics
- KEY: AD Kablooie 1.0.sit KBytes: 27648
- DESC: launching and exploding fireworks with color, sound, and flashes.
- DESC: Supposedly works on all machines and system configurations. Tested
- DESC: with system 7.0.1 and system 7 update 7.0.
- 72 AD Roaming Lines.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: AD Roaming Lines - A color or monochrome module for use with Berkley
- KEY: AD Roaming Lines.sit KBytes: 12288
- DESC: System's After Dark screensaver. This module creates constantly
- DESC: rotating spirals with long tails. Excellent for color AD users.
- DESC:
- 71 AD Star Trek TNG.sit 3 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: AD Star Trek TNG - This After Dark module features the NCC-1701D
- KEY: AD Star Trek TNG.sit KBytes: 9216
- DESC: moving across your monitor screen at warp speed. One of the better
- DESC: After Dark modules I've seen!
- DESC:
- 70 AD-HaveABlast.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 01-27-1993
- DESC: AD-HaveABlast - About a month ago, I saw a cute little hack on the
- KEY: AD-HaveABlast.sit KBytes: 94208
- DESC: market that allowed you to take your frustration out on your Mac by
- DESC: shooting it full of virtual holes. I thought that was a really
- DESC: wicked-cool idea until I saw the price tag. I think 40 bucks is a
- DESC: little expensive for something that frivolous, so drew up some
- DESC: pictures, whipped out the AfterDark manual and a few hours later, a
- DESC: rough version of Have-A-Blast was putting holes in my screen. Three
- DESC: weeks later, I found my old MacRecorder in a box in the closet and
- DESC: added the crucial element of sound.
- DESC:
- 68 Aquarium Kit.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-09-1992
- DESC: Aquarium Kit - Aquarium Kit enhances the Fish module in AfterDark.
- KEY: Aquarium Kit.sit KBytes: 6144
- DESC: Now your desktop aquarium can have diagonally swimming turtles,
- DESC: cute but harmless baby sharks, and a handsome mound of rocks, with
- DESC: gently waving plants attached, to decorate the sea floor. These
- DESC: don't solve any of the world's major problems but they do augment
- DESC: your daydreaming pleasure when you are supposed to be working!
- DESC: Easy installation instructions included. 256 color Macs only.
- 67 Arties1.0.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 07-22-1993
- DESC: Arties1.0 - This is an After Dark module written by Steve
- KEY: Arties1.0.sit KBytes: 4096
- DESC: Scarborough, and requires After Dark or Darkside of the Mac to run
- DESC: it. This screen saver builds roads which run in straight lines
- DESC: until they hit another road, then they turn. Displays nice graphics
- DESC: in color, and in Black and White, roads can be removed. Gives a
- DESC: nice display for those who like line drawings and graphical screen
- DESC: savers.
- 66 Bat Signal 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-01-1993
- DESC: Bat Signal 1.1 - Citizens of Gotham, It is my duty to inform you
- KEY: Bat Signal 1.1.sit KBytes: 41984
- DESC: that the Batman has been called. Only the Batman can save your
- DESC: screens from the forces of phosphor and decay. Our computerized bat
- DESC: signals are sending out the summons even now, on the flickering
- DESC: screens that scatter our sprawling metropolis. The Dark Knight will
- DESC: hear us, and he will come to our aid. Bat Signal 1.1 is a freeware
- DESC: After Dark screen-saver module for use with After Dark 2.0 or
- DESC: DarkSide of the Mac 4.0. This release adds an ‘Invert’ Option. Also
- DESC: included are some Bat desktop textures, for use with the Desktop
- DESC: Textures installer, or other large ppat installers.
- 65 BlazingSaddles.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-19-1992
- DESC: BlazingSaddles - Here we have a tiny PICS file for yer After Dark
- KEY: BlazingSaddles.sit KBytes: 114688
- DESC: PICS player module, featuring Harvey Korman and Mel Brooks whacking
- DESC: their paddleballs endlessly in the hallowed chambers of Governor
- DESC: William J. Le Petomane's office. You need 8-bit color or better,
- DESC: and a wistful longing for Mel Brooks better days. Pardon me, I've
- DESC: got to ride off into the sunset in my limo. Happy trails, says
- DESC: Mongo.
- 64 Bounce! 1.31.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-29-1993
- DESC: Bounce 1.31 - is an AfterDark module that shows some balls bouncing
- KEY: Bounce! 1.31.sit KBytes: 5120
- DESC: around the screen, each with its own speed and gravity
- DESC: acceleration. You can select the number of balls to show, their
- DESC: size and the percent decay of their elastic bouncing. The balls can
- DESC: either jump up again when their bouncing is over or fall down from
- DESC: the screen's top. Version 1.31 makes use of color and has round
- DESC: balls instead of square.
- 62 Bungee.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-16-1993
- DESC: Bungee - Ever taken the Bungee jumping plunge? You may not want to
- KEY: Bungee.sit KBytes: 33792
- DESC: after running this After Dark screen saver module. Options exist
- DESC: for having a man, cow, or half man bungee jump, and let me just say
- DESC: that jumps are not always successful. Don't look at this before you
- DESC: go out jumping! Hilarious.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 61 Chomp 2.0.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 01-27-1993
- DESC: Chomp 2.0 - This is a screen eater AD module. You can control the
- KEY: Chomp 2.0.sit KBytes: 13312
- DESC: size of the bites and the speed. Delicious!
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 60 Chopper Modules.sit 2 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-27-1992
- DESC: Chopper Modules - These are two color variations of the original
- KEY: Chopper Modules.sit KBytes: 64512
- DESC: Flying Choppers. One module has strobing choppers flying around
- DESC: with sexy girls in bathing suits. The other file has Rainbow
- DESC: choppers flying with Quadra 900s -it even plays the Quadra's
- DESC: majestic startup sound. Color with good sounds.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 59 Christmas Tree.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: Christmas Tree - This is a PICS file which can be used with After
- KEY: Christmas Tree.sit KBytes: 149504
- DESC: Dark or any PICS player. Created with Swivel 3D, this Christmas
- DESC: tree rotates 360 degrees. Can be used with the PICS Player screen
- DESC: saver in After Dark and for some strange reason, it runs faster
- DESC: when used in a Multimode screen saver. Contains color and works on
- DESC: Mac II's and IIfx's. Free from FLIGHT ENGINEERING.
- DESC:
- 58 Clouds 1.0.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 12-07-1993
- DESC: Clouds 1.0 - This After Dark module draws animated, fractal clouds.
- KEY: Clouds 1.0.sit KBytes: 13312
- DESC: The "Colors" menu lets you select a color scheme for your clouds.
- DESC: "Wispiness" lets you vary the fractal dimension from 2.2 to 2.4.
- DESC: "Wind" makes the clouds move. (A southwest wind moves them up and
- DESC: to the left.) Set to "None" if animation is too slow on your
- DESC: system. "Redraw Speed" controls how fast new cloud formations
- DESC: appear. If you leave this screen saver on for a few minutes,
- DESC: beautiful and pretty clear pictures of clouds will be floating
- DESC: across the screen. A nice and peaceful module. Clouds requires
- DESC: 32-bit QuickDraw, i.e. System 6.0.5 or higher and a Macintosh with
- 57 Color Swarm! 1.2.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Color Swarm! 1.2 - Color Swarm is an After Dark module with color
- KEY: Color Swarm! 1.2.sit KBytes: 5120
- DESC: swarming bees which can work with multiple monitors. The user can
- DESC: set the number of bees, the Jiggle factor, the Queen speed and the
- DESC: Drone speeds. Requires Berkeley's After Dark screen saver.
- 56 Color Wheel.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 04-21-1993
- DESC: Color Wheel - Color Wheel is a simple (5k) After Dark module which
- KEY: Color Wheel.sit KBytes: 4096
- DESC: draws a wheel of 254 colors on the screen and then uses color table
- DESC: animation to rotate. The screen background is the same color as the
- DESC: color at the top of the wheel, so it is constantly changing. It
- DESC: runs tolerably fast on my IIci, but it may be a little slow on
- DESC: slower Macs. Color Wheel is freeware.
- DESC:
- 55 Columns.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: Columns - Columns is another After Dark module for your evaluation.
- KEY: Columns.sit KBytes: 2048
- DESC:
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 54 Crabs.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-16-1992
- DESC: Crabs - This is an after dark module. Crabs is a genetic simulation
- KEY: Crabs.sit KBytes: 8192
- DESC: of a population of “crabs.” These crabs feed on the white pixels
- DESC: of the screen. When crabs are born, they are bright green on a color
- DESC: Macintosh. When they reach maturity and start producing offspring,
- DESC: they turn bright blue or red. As they age, they become lighter and
- DESC: lighter until they turn white and die. If a crab begins to starve,
- DESC: it will turn bright yellow and slowly become lighter until it
- DESC: starves and becomes white. Each crab has attributes such as size
- DESC: and metabolic rate (which both affect speed), life expectancy,
- DESC: birth weight of offspring, breeding cycle and movement patterns.
- 53 Diatom.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-16-1992
- DESC: Diatom - This is an after dark module. This module draws random
- KEY: Diatom.sit KBytes: 69632
- DESC: designs based on the discrete Fast Fourier Transform of two random
- DESC: data spikes. Sliding the ‘Number of Lines’ slider to all the way
- DESC: to the right will cause a random number of lines in the interval
- DESC: [10,1000] to be used. Moving it all the way to the left causes
- DESC: data in the file ‘Diatom.data’ to be used to draw the diatoms. This
- DESC: file is located in the After Dark folder within your System folder
- DESC: under System 6.0 or the Control Panels folder under System 7.0 and
- DESC: consists the data for a diatom on each line.
- DESC:
- 51 Drainage.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 04-12-1993
- DESC: Drainage - Tons of awesome modules running quickly! Funny! You've
- KEY: Drainage.sit KBytes: 2048
- DESC: got to see it! Check out some other files by choosing "Sacred Bod"
- DESC: in file search mode.
- DESC:
- 50 Earth2.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: Earth2 - This an After Dark Module of the Earth rotating in 8-bit
- KEY: Earth2.sit KBytes: 131072
- DESC: color. This version corrects the rotational direction. Sorry about
- DESC: the mistake!
- DESC:
- 49 EarthSplash1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-22-1993
- DESC: EarthSplash1.1 - This is a small AfterDark module that catapults a
- KEY: EarthSplash1.1.sit KBytes: 9216
- DESC: small rotating earth which will splash when the earth falls to the
- DESC: bottom of the screen.
- DESC:
- 48 FacesDark.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-19-1992
- DESC: FacesDark - Faces in the Dark is a freeware module for AD. It draws
- KEY: FacesDark.sit KBytes: 5120
- DESC: cartoon faces and has many options for controlling how it works.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 47 Fireplace.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-24-1992
- DESC: Fireplace - This is an After Dark module of an animated fire burning
- KEY: Fireplace.sit KBytes: 76800
- DESC: in a brick fireplace with a nice deep blue wall in back of it.
- DESC: Quiet, soothing but don't try to toast any marshmallows on your
- DESC: monitor. I made this module using PROMotion, a multimedia program
- DESC: developed by Motion Works, Inc. PROMotion is a fantastic program!
- DESC: This program allows you to make stand alone animations, PICS files,
- DESC: QuickTime movies, PROmotion files, or After Dark module.
- 45 Fliegende Linie.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-19-1992
- DESC: Fliegende Linie - Fliegende Linie is a simple AD module wherein a
- KEY: Fliegende Linie.sit KBytes: 7168
- DESC: string of lines (colored, if your mac supports it) bounces around
- DESC: your screen. See credits for more details. I'm just getting into AD
- DESC: programming. If there are some other AD module programmers out
- DESC: there, I'd love to hear from you!
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 41 Hubble AD.sit 2 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-27-1992
- DESC: Hubble AD - An After Dark module created late one Saturday night
- KEY: Hubble AD.sit KBytes: 34816
- DESC: from the "Logo" Module included with A.D. An 8 bit digitized image
- DESC: of the Hubble Space Telescope, as seen from the Space Shuttle,
- DESC: drifts across the screen (Looks good with the drift speed set
- DESC: slow). Enjoy, Rick
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 40 ICONS! 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 01-27-1993
- DESC: ICONS! 1.1 - is an After Dark module which fills the screen with
- KEY: ICONS! 1.1.sit KBytes: 19456
- DESC: icons.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 39 Invert.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-16-1992
- DESC: Invert - The Invert after dark module simply inverts the screen by
- KEY: Invert.sit KBytes: 6144
- DESC: starting at the outside edges and working toward the center. The
- DESC: speed of this process is controlled by the user.
- DESC:
- 38 Jasik.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-01-1993
- DESC: Jasik - Jasik is an After Dark module which displays the familiar
- KEY: Jasik.sit KBytes: 18432
- DESC: environment of The Debugger program from Jasik Designs, so that you
- DESC: can always appear to be hard at work. You can also use it to
- DESC: impress your friends! Probably won't help protect your screen from
- DESC: burn in! Oh well, it's fun! Requires After Dark or Darkside of the
- DESC: Mac to run.
- DESC:
- 37 KScope.sit 2 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-08-1992
- DESC: KScope - KScope is an After Dark Module which draws
- KEY: KScope.sit KBytes: 7168
- DESC: Kaleidoscope-like patterns. It is best in color, although it will
- DESC: use patterns on monochrome systems. It uses lots of memory, since
- DESC: it uses regions. Right now, its sysz resource is set to 200k, but it
- DESC: might have to be made larger for use on monitors larger than 13"
- DESC: and/or using greater than 8 bit color. KScope is a loser (darn) in
- DESC: the After Dark contest, and is being distributed as freeware.
- 36 Lava Lamp.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 08-22-1992
- DESC: Lava Lamp - An After Dark module that inverts the screen colors in
- KEY: Lava Lamp.sit KBytes: 6144
- DESC: patterns that tell the time or just look cool, crazy, or relaxing.
- DESC: Dialogue boxes provide infinite user modification.
- DESC:
- 35 Meltdown 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Meltdown 1.1 - Meltdown is an After Dark module which dissolves the
- KEY: Meltdown 1.1.sit KBytes: 6144
- DESC: screen. It is freeware. The user can control the Speed, Type, and
- DESC: turn Colorfill on or off. The Types of melting you can set - Gravity
- DESC: melts downward, Curtain melts upward, Gorge & Chasm melt outward,
- DESC: Flatline & Column melt inward, Avalanche simulates snowfall,
- DESC: Cascade gathers at the bottom, Black Hole melts toward the center,
- DESC: Centrifuge melts toward the edges, Pinwheel melts in a spiral
- DESC: (cw/ccw), and Random uses any method.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 34 Microbes 1.1b.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-27-1992
- DESC: Microbes 1.1b - is yet another in the growing list of After Dark
- KEY: Microbes 1.1b.sit KBytes: 51200
- DESC: screen saver modules that were losers in the latest After Dark
- DESC: programming contest held by Berkeley Systems. :( Color: Microbes
- DESC: can be colored on low bit depth monitors. With 256 or more colors,
- DESC: microbes can be assigned a spectrum of colors which reflects their
- DESC: health. Size: Microbes now come in three sizes. Clip art: You can
- DESC: paste in clip art to feed the microbes when the've eaten just about
- DESC: everything on the screen.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 33 millions.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: millions - After Dark module for 32-bit color. Tested only on 1.1.
- KEY: millions.sit KBytes: 9216
- DESC:
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 32 Moire/AD.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: Moire/AD - Do you like the "Moire" screen saver or "After Dark"? No
- KEY: Moire/AD.sit KBytes: 7168
- DESC: need to choose. Here is a Moire module for After Dark. Please
- DESC: note this file is not usuable unless you have the After Dark Screen
- DESC: saver program.
- 31 Mondrian 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 01-27-1993
- DESC: Mondrian 1.1 - Mondrian is an AfterDark module which inverts random
- KEY: Mondrian 1.1.sit KBytes: 4096
- DESC: rectangles on the screen.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 29 OFF THE AIR.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: OFF THE AIR - With this After Dark module, after a period of
- KEY: OFF THE AIR.sit KBytes: 18432
- DESC: inactivity, you Macintosh will go "off the air" and look like a TV
- DESC: that's been left on after the station has stopped broadcasting.
- DESC: (And sound like it to, if you want). This module REQUIRES a
- DESC: monitor/video card capable of displaying 256 colors or greys. It
- DESC: also requires After Dark 2.0u or later. Shareware: $2.00 (can't
- DESC: get much cheaper than that).
- 28 OhhNoo.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 12-23-1992
- DESC: OhhNoo - This is a silly little AD module that behaves like a Mac
- KEY: OhhNoo.sit KBytes: 22528
- DESC: that's not feeling very well. It could be fun for playing a joke on
- DESC: someone who doesn't know it is there. I hope no-one freaks out and
- DESC: thinks their machine really has anything wrong with it. If you use
- DESC: the "Restore Delay" feature you should exercise some restraint.
- DESC: Even though the longest possible delay is 60 seconds that can be an
- DESC: eternity to someone who thinks his or her machine has crashed. This
- DESC: module is free and freely distributable. Enjoy.
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 27 OURA QT.sit 1 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-27-1992
- DESC: OURA QT - another after dark quicktime movie.
- KEY: OURA QT.sit KBytes: 6144
- 26 PawPaw.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 03-26-1993
- DESC: PawPaw - this is an after dark module that gives to tracks all over
- KEY: PawPaw.sit KBytes: 11264
- DESC: your screen from horses, people, bears and other animals. Fun
- DESC: stuff.
- DESC:
- 25 PowerDown 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: PowerDown 1.1 - PowerDown 1.1 is an AfterDark module which will shut
- KEY: PowerDown 1.1.sit KBytes: 18432
- DESC: down your Mac after the specified time (the user sets it). It does
- DESC: this by sending a 'ShutDown' AppleEvent to the Finder, which is
- DESC: exactly the same as when you choose 'Shut Down' from the Special
- DESC: menu. You can interrupt the shutdown by moving the mouse during the
- DESC: warning alert. Any applications that have unsaved documents will
- DESC: alert you as usual.
- 24 Quantam Lines.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: Quantam Lines - An AFTER DARK (tm) module. A variation on the String
- KEY: Quantam Lines.sit KBytes: 5120
- DESC: Theory module. The After Dark screen saver is required to use this
- DESC: file.
- DESC:
- 23 Random Lines.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-06-1992
- DESC: Random Lines - This is an After Dark module of Random Lines.
- KEY: Random Lines.sit KBytes: 3072
- 22 Rockets 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Rockets 1.1 - Rockets is an After Dark Screen saver module which
- KEY: Rockets 1.1.sit KBytes: 35840
- DESC: works in 8, 4 and 1 bit color modes, gray or black and white. The
- DESC: user can choose to clear the screen, and can choose fountains, smoke
- DESC: or both. Sound is also included.
- 21 Rrrring!.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-29-1993
- DESC: Rrrring! - Rrring is an After Dark module which was inspired by the
- KEY: Rrrring!.sit KBytes: 65536
- DESC: author's nightmare about a phone attacking him. In this module, a
- DESC: phone rings (you pick how many times) and then one of four things
- DESC: happens to the phone - a weight drops on it, a bomb hits it, a
- DESC: boxing glove hits it, a snake appears, or magic happens. You can
- DESC: pick the scenario, or choose to have them randomly happen. The
- DESC: animation speed is adjustable. Give this one to your favorite phone
- DESC: answering friend!
- DESC:
- DESC:
- 19 Satori.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1992
- DESC: Satori - This is an already upgraded module for use with After Dark
- KEY: Satori.sit KBytes: 11264
- DESC: 2.0u. No changes involved other than it now works with the Mac LC
- DESC: and IIsi. A new feature is, by pressing the Caps Lock key, the
- DESC: colors now change.
- 18 Saw1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-20-1993
- DESC: Saw1.1 - Sam is an After Dark module. Saw makes repeated cuts, in
- KEY: Saw1.1.sit KBytes: 67584
- DESC: either direction, across each monitor on your system, in turn. The
- DESC: bottom section falls away, with a crash, and another cut starts.
- DESC: When it finishes a monitor, it remains blank. "Speed" adjusts how
- DESC: fast it cuts. "Cut Size" adjusts how big a section is cut at a
- DESC: time. You can adjust the cutting style for "Clean", "Chips" flying,
- DESC: glass "Cracks", or "Chips & Cracks." The annoying "Power Saw Sound"
- DESC: can be turned on and off independently. New to version 1.1 - Saw
- DESC: can go both left-to-right and right-to-left; possible multiple
- DESC: monitors bugs have been fixed.
- 16 Sierpinski.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 03-26-1993
- DESC: Sierpinski - This screen saver module produces the fractal named
- KEY: Sierpinski.sit KBytes: 15360
- DESC: Seirpenski’s Gasket/Triangle. It generates different sizes, shapes,
- DESC: and colors (for those with color Mac’s). It begins by randomly
- DESC: selecting three vertices of the selected type of triangle and
- DESC: setting the first plotted point to the center of the monitor
- DESC: (Displays on Monitor 1 only). It then randomly picks other points
- DESC: to plot corresponding to the three vertices. After 24,000 points
- DESC: have been plotted, the module will begin anew, therefore not
- DESC: burning into the monitor.
- DESC:
- 15 Slivers.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 07-28-1992

- DESC:
- DESC:
- 11 Swirly! 2.0.sit 3 B AMUG BBS in a Box 04-14-1992
- DESC: Swirly! 2.0 - Swirly! is an After Dark module that I created while
- KEY: Swirly! 2.0.sit KBytes: 9216
- DESC: learning to program with THINK C. It displays swirls of random
- DESC: size, color and location on any color Mac. This module will not
- DESC: run on a black and white Macintosh. It supports any screen size
- DESC: and up to 256 colors. Slider controls allow you to change several
- DESC: variables to alter the swirls to suit your tastes. Let me know
- DESC: how you like it!
- 9 TacTiles.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 07-28-1993
- DESC: TacTiles - TacTiles is an After Dark module written by James J.
- KEY: TacTiles.sit KBytes: 3072
- DESC: Eastman. This module displays somewhat circular images which are
- DESC: mainly linked together. The images join with others to sort of open
- DESC: and close. I can't describe it! If you like patterned screen
- DESC: savers, check this one out.
- DESC:
- DESC:

- DESC: The Web - This is a screen saver module called "The Web" that I
- KEY: The Web.sit KBytes: 31744
- DESC: wrote for the After Dark screen saver contest a few months ago.
- DESC: Unfortunately, it didn't win anything so I'm releasing it to the
- DESC: public. It's a large module so it may not run in all configurations
- DESC: (i.e., low free mem) -- Berkeley uses temporary memory for large
- DESC: structures like offscreen color bitmaps, but that is REALLY hard
- DESC: for background processes like After Dark, so The Web has to fit
- DESC: into the System Heap. The Web works in B/W, but color, naturally,
- DESC: looks better. If you're into spiders and webs in a Monty Pythonish
- DESC: way, give this a try.

- DESC: is a drive-in theater background. More backgrounds are available
- DESC: as part of the Theater Maker shareware utility. If you like this
- DESC: module, check out Theater Maker which lets you create standalone
- DESC: applications that play a quicktime movie on a backdrop, and also
- DESC: create your own backgrounds from PICT files.

- DESC: Walk Folder - A couple of random walk After Dark modules. RGBWalk

- DESC: smoothly. On a B&W Mac it makes no difference which module you use
- DESC: as there are no colors to change. The walk will travel across
